Salesforce QA Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of Salesforce customisations and configurations.
• Identify, record, and track defects found during testing using bug tracking tools like Jira or Salesforce's native tools.
• Collaborate with Salesforce developers and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure quality deliverables.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium or Salesforce Test Automation Framework.
• Conduct data validation and verification in Salesforce applications to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Participate in release management and deployment activities, including validation of deployments in different environments.
• Document test results, generate test reports, and communicate findings to project teams and management.
• Stay updated on Salesforce updates, new features, and industry best practices related to QA and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing activities align with project timelines and objectives.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful, you will need experience in Salesforce testing methodologies, proficiency in test automation tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers and stakeholders to ensure the quality of Salesforce applications.

Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in testing Salesforce applications including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom applications.
• Experience in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Knowledge of Salesforce configuration, customisation, and development to effectively test customisations and configurations.
• Ability to identify, record, and track defects using bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Salesforce's native tools.
• Experience in test automation using tools like Selenium WebDriver, Salesforce Test Automation Framework, or other automation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Knowledge of database concepts and SQL for data validation and verification in Salesforce applications.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with developers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
